The Danish National Genome Center collects and processes information about you in connection with your registration for the 2025 conference. We do this in order to register your participation.
Collection and processing of personal information
When you register for the 2025 conference, we collect and process the following information about you:
- Your name
- Your email
- Your position
- Your place of employment
The collected information is used solely to register your participation in the conference. The information will be subsequently stored for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
Publication and other use of photos and recordings from DNGC 2025 conference
The annual meeting will be live-streamed and recorded on video, and photos will also be taken to support the Danish National Genome Center’s visual communication. Recordings will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Amager Boulevard 70, on September 8, 2025. Consideration will be given to participants who do not wish to appear in photos or recordings.
DNGC’s use of recordings and photos from the conference
The Danish National Genome Center uses recordings from the conference for the following purposes:
- The Danish National Genome Center’s website (ngc.dk and eng.ngc.dk), including live streaming of the annual meeting
- PowerPoint presentations in connection with internal meetings and public presentations
- Trade fair materials (e.g., displays)
- Publication on social media, including X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn
- The Danish National Genome Center’s newsletter, which is sent to all subscribers
If we wish to use the recordings for a purpose other than those listed above, you will be contacted beforehand to obtain your consent. The recordings will not be sold to third parties.
The recordings are owned and stored by the Danish National Genome Center, which is the data controller. The Danish National Genome Center uses “Captivate ApS” as the data processor to record and store the recordings. The recordings are stored in accordance with applicable GDPR regulations. They will be retained for 5 years and may be used during this period for NGC’s visual communication.
Legal basis for processing
The legal basis for processing your personal information is based on your consent, as stated in Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as the public authority exercise of the Danish National Genome Center, as stated in Article 6(1)(e).
Data controller for the processing
The Danish National Genome Center is the data controller for the processing activities. This means that we are responsible for determining the purposes and methods of processing the personal information we receive from you. You can find our contact information on our website.

Your rights
The General Data Protection Regulation grants you certain rights. You have the right to:
- Access the Danish National Genome Center's processing of your information (Article 15)
- Object to our processing of your information (Article 12)
- Have incorrect or misleading information corrected, deleted, or blocked, or have information processed in violation of the law rectified (Articles 16-18)
- Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) if you are dissatisfied with our processing of your personal information (Article 77)
In certain cases, you have the right to receive your personal information in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and to have this information transferred from the Danish National Genome Center to another data controller without hindrance (Article 20).
Right to withdraw consent
You can choose to withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal information at any time. You can do this by contacting us at kontakt@ngc.dk.
If you choose to withdraw your consent, it only affects the future processing of your personal information and does not affect the legality of the processing based on the consent before its withdrawal.
Complaint to the Danish Data Protection Agency
If you are dissatisfied with the Danish National Genome Center’s processing of your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency, pursuant to Article 77 of the General Data Protection Regulation.
